New traffic signal coming to US-80 at Westside Boulevard

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A new signalized intersection on US-80 at Westside Boulevard will be activated Tuesday, August 26, 2025, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT).

The traffic signal will be located near the entrance to Westside Business Park and Priya Circle, just east of the I-95 interchange at Exit 102.

As part of a Commercial Driveway Permit, a developer has installed the new signals, that currently covered, and modified the median to help improve mobility and safety at this busy intersection. Message boards are already in place to notify drivers of the signal’s location and upcoming activation.

GDOT says that the signal activation is weather-dependent and subject to change.

Motorists are urged to remain alert as drivers adjust to the new signal. Drivers should obey posted speed limits, traffic control devices, and signage in the area.
