National DEA Take Back Day to provide free medication disposal
LYONS, Ga. (WTOC) - National DEA Take Back Day is on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
This is an opportunity for you to safely dispose of expired or unused prescription medications.

The Toombs County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in the National DEA Take Back Day from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

“We invite community members to safely dispose of unused or expired prescription medications during this event,” the Sheriff’s Office writes in a social media post. “Please note that needles and liquids will not be accepted.”
According to the DEA’s official website, collection sites will also be available on the same day at the Bluffton Magistrate Office in Beaufort as well as the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.
