Missing 13-year-old from Jasper County located in a North Carolina community
JASPER COUNTY, S.C. (WTOC) - [UPDATE 2:35 p.m. 8/21/2025] Maria del Pilar Estudillo Gordillo has been safely located, according to a statement released today from the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office.
The missing child was discovered “in a community in Durham, North Carolina,” around 7:30 p.m. on August 19, 2025.
She is currently being evaluated and will be transported back to South Carolina.
In the statement, the JCSO thanks their partnerships with the Hardeeville Police Department, SLED, the FBI, Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, Savannah Police Department, North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and the Durham Police Department for helping to locate Maria del Pilar Estudillo Gordillo.
[ORIGINAL STORY] The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating Maria del Pilar Estudillo Gordillo.
Gordillo, 13, also goes by the nickname Pili. She is described as 5’0” and 115 pounds.

She has black hair and brown eyes and does not speak English.
The teen was last seen on Monday, August 18, at 7:15 a.m. on her way to the bus stop on Rudy Dr. in Hardeeville.
She was last seen wearing a forest green school shirt and black pants.
