Long County government page links to gambling site

LONG COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - The official Long County government page briefly contained a link to a gambling website, which WTOC discovered before the error was corrected several hours later.

On the official Long County Board of Commissioners website, under the “Government” tab, users can select from options like “Budgets and Audits,” “Ordinances,” “Probate and Magistrate Court,” and other similar topics.

If a user clicks on “Superior Court,” which should take them to the Long County Clerk’s landing page, instead it links to a gambling website labeled “Unitogel,” despite the URL referencing the Long County Clerk.

The Google sidebar result for the Long County Clerk Superior also currently leads to this website, and not any official government page.

This website contains links for “Slot Games,” “Live Casino,” “Poker-V,” and other similar topics.

This gambling site is not affiliated with the Long County government and WTOC does not recommend clicking any of the links on that page.

The Long County government has been contacted and informed of the situation.
