Hampton County Sheriff’s Office concludes standoff on Hopewell Road, suspect in custody
HAMPTON COUNTY, S.C. (WTOC) - Hampton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies have brought the standoff on the 800 block of Hopewell Road in the Gifford area to a safe conclusion.
According to officials, the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
Deputies initially responded to the location for an active standoff situation. During the incident, Hopewell Road was blocked from Deer Drive to Highway 321, and drivers were urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
