For the first time ever, ice skating will be offered on the Tybee Pier Pavilion
TYBEE ISLAND, Ga. (WTOC) - For the first time ever, the Tybee Pier Pavilion is turning into a holiday ice skating rink overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, according to a social media post from the City of Tybee Island.
Beginning on November 26, 2025, ice skating will be offered for free on the Tybee Island pier between 12:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Skates will be available on the pier and skating will be managed by the Tybee pier staff.

Children must be accompanied by an adult, the City of Tybee says. No minors can ice skate on Tybee alone.
“This festive pop-up rink brings holiday cheer to the beach with twinkling décor and plenty of island charm,” the City of Tybee says. “Whether you’re here for the photo ops, the family fun, or the ocean breeze, this is a Tybee holiday experience you won’t want to miss!”
Ice skating at the Tybee Pier will be available daily from November 26 through December 14. There will be no ice skating on Thanksgiving Day.
