Five counts end in mistrial for Garden City shooting defendant
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Five of seven counts in a Garden City murder trial ended in mistrial.
Isaiah Goodman was facing several murder charges for the shooting death of Michael Peguese in 2020.
After multiple days of testimony, a jury found Goodman guilty on counts of fleeing and eluding, and not guilty on a count of aggravated battery.
The jury was deadlocked on the five remaining counts and could not reach a decision.
Goodman also faces charges in a separate dog-fighting case currently moving through the courts.
