WTOC spoke to those protesters outside the Hyundai entrance on Saturday.

“I want them to abolish ICE, ICE is a racist organization that is attacking the working class of America,” said protester, Kim.

One of those chanting their opposition to the hundreds of arrests is Kim, who is part of the Act Now, Stop War and End Racism group.

He said the raid hits close to home.

“300 of these workers are suspected to be Korean and as a Korean I can not let that happen not just because I’m Korean, but because I’m a worker I feel a connection to them,” said Kim.

As we’ve reported, Homeland Security Investigations officials said the raid was centered on illegal labor.

The Hyundai Motor Group’s statement on Friday said they are committed to full compliance with all laws and regulations in every market they operate.

Protesters came from all over the state, sharing the same message to officials- to get rid of ICE.

“It’s important to come out here even drive from anywhere apart of the state of Georgia because these are our brothers and sisters, they are apart of our community, these are workers, they are the ones who build our cars we drive every single day. They are not criminals,” said Party for Social Liberation organizer, Estevan Hernandez.
