Children at center of Florida Amber Alert found, authorities say
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WANF/WWSB/Gray News) - The children at the center of an Amber Alert issued in Florida who were last seen in Tift County have been found, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
The GBI said 11-year-old Akachi Turner and 3-year-old Aizon Turner were found safe on Thursday.
Previously, the two children were last seen with 43-year-old Audrey Turner in the south Georgia county around 8 a.m. on Monday.
The GBI had said the two children were “believed to be in extreme danger.”
The three, at the time, were last seen in a black Toyota Camry with front-end damage. Authorities said they believed they were traveling towards Atlanta.
The children went missing from Riviera Beach, Florida.
