Candler Co. Emergency Management aware of ‘nationwide Verizon outage’ affecting thousands
CANDLER COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - The Candler County Sheriff’s Office said the Candler County Emergency Management is aware of a nationwide Verizon outage affecting thousands of customers.
They said customers may still be able to reach 911, but say Verizon customers could experience trouble making regular calls.
“If you are a Verizon customer, you may be able to place calls using Wi-Fi calling on your device,” wrote the sheriff’s office. “As always, if you have an emergency, dial 911 first. For non-emergency needs during this outage, we’ll work to keep communications open and responsive.”
