2-year-old dies in Hinesville, police investigating
HINESVILLE, Ga. (WTOC) - A 2-year-old is dead in Hinesville.
Hinesville police officers went to a home in the 600 block of Slade Street after receiving a report of a child with a gunshot wound. The child was taken to a local medical center, where they were later pronounced dead.
Now, police say they are investigating a suspected accidental, self-inflicted shooting involving a 2-year-old.
Early information shows the incident appears to be accidental, but detectives say they are working figure out more.
This investigation is active and ongoing and no further information will be provided at this time.
