2 of the 3 men convicted in 2021 Bricktowne Flats murder now headed to trial for 2023 double homicide
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - In May of 2021, a deadly shooting at Bricktowne Flats Apartments claimed the life of 20-year-old Travis Edwards.

3 men--- Harold Jakarius Roberson, Terry Jerome Rucker, and Vazquez Lisan Coleman, were arrested and charged in connection with Edwards’ death.
Their cases have been going through the court system ever since.

Investigators said the men went to Edwards that night intending to purchase marijuana, but the exchange turned into an armed robbery, and Edwards was shot and killed.
The case led to different convictions and sentencing for all three men.
Coleman was sentenced to five years with no parole. He was acquitted on multiple counts but found guilty of one charge, ‘criminal attempt to commit a felony by purchasing marijuana’.
Roberson was convicted on 6 charges, including felony murder. He was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole.
Rucker was also convicted on 6 charges, including felony murder. He was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole.
While the sentencing in Edwards’ death comes to a close, two of those men are now facing trial for another murder.
Roberson and Coleman, along with another man, 24-year-old Joshua Reddick, are all charged with the murders of 16-year-old Semaj Floyd and 20-year-old Omarion Whitfield on December 4, 2023.

Floyd and Whitfield died after being shot in the area of Amaranth Avenue and Perth Street.
The indictment alleges that Roberson, Coleman, and Reddick tried to rob Floyd and Whitfield during a robbery.
Roberson and Coleman were arrested in late 2024 for this crime, while Reddick was not taken into custody until April 15th of this year by US Marshals.
Authorities allege the killings were committed while Roberson and Coleman were out on bond for their first murder case charges.

Their trial is scheduled to begin on September 29th.
