1 dead, another in the hospital after 2-vehicle collision at the intersection of Cleon Mosley Rd. and Hwy. 280

REIDSVILLE, Ga. (WTOC) - One person is dead and another is in the hospital after a two-vehicle collision Wednesday morning temporarily shut down the westbound lane of Highway 280, according to the Reidsville Fire Department.

The fire department responded to the scene at around 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Cleon Mosley Road and Highway 280. Emergency responders from Tattnall County Fire, Roger’s State Prison Fire, Tattnall County EMS, and the Tattnall County Sheriff’s Department were also sent to the scene to help.

According to the fire department, the driver of the car died and the truck driver was taken to a local hospital for medical attention.

The Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia State Patrol are investigating this incident.
