‘It was very scary’: 3 injured after shooting in the 2000 block of Capital St.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Savannah police are investigating after three people were shot Tuesday night at an apartment complex on Capital Street.
Officers responded around 10:25 p.m. to the 2000 block of Capital Street after receiving ShotSpotter reports, police said. Three victims were located suffering from gunshot wounds and were taken to a local medical center for treatment.
Police said one woman sustained serious injuries, while a man and another woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
Residents at the 2800 Capital Square Apartments said the gunfire left them shaken and concerned about safety.
“It was powerful. Whatever weapon they had, we felt it, and it was scary. It was very scary,” said resident Ms. Reddick.
Reddick said her family was watching tv and they all dropped to the floor when the gunfire started.
She described the experience as terrifying and says she hopes people will find ways to resolve conflicts without violence.
“It scared my daughter, my husband, and me,” she said. “We just got down because we didn’t know what was going on. And I wish people would talk about their disagreements instead of using violence.”
Another resident said he was on the phone with one of the women when she was shot and rushed over to check on her.
As of now, police said no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
