Woman-owned branding business discusses success in Savannah
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - On Welcome To Our Community, WTOC had the chance to introduce an icon in our community, Diana Morrison.
37 years ago, she started her branding business Ad Speciality from the trunk of her car. It was an all male industry. She says, “The men were banging on people’s doors selling bumper stickers. ”
Back then, there were 70,000 products sold at 800 factories. Now, there are 1.2 million products sold at 1,600 factories.
Morrison says her success is based on the teams they’ve built and other women they’ve helped to empower. Morrison’s daughter, Cori, has worked alongside her for 25 years.
Morrison says to become successful in business, she learned you should not hire people just like you.
