UPDATE: Savannah house fire displaces three residents, several pets

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - [UPDATE 10:58 A.M.] The back bedroom was the only part of the house damaged by the fire. The Red Cross is assisting the family. No injuries have been reported.

[UPDATE 8:19 a.m] Three residents and several pets were displaced after a house fire Saturday morning.

[ORIGINAL STORY] The Savannah Fire Department battled an early Sunday morning house fire in the 0 block of Mistletoe Court.

According to officials, crews were dispatched at 5:42 a.m. to a residential structure fire. Smoke was visible upon arrival.

Firefighters brought the blaze under control, and the fire was declared out just before 6 a.m.

Officials have not released additional details about the cause of the fire but no injuries were immediately reported.
