Tanya Miller wins Democrat attorney general primary

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Tanya Miller defeated Bob Trammell in Tuesday night’s Democratic attorney general primary.

Miller, seeking to become Georgia’s first Black female attorney general, now head to the Nov. 3, 2026, general election.

Miller is also attempting to become the first Democrat elected Georgia attorney general since Thurbert Baker, who held the position from 1997 to 2011.

Baker lost the 2010 Georgia Attorney General election to Republican Sam Olens.
