SPD: Juvenile injured in altercation, portion of West 51st Street closed

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - [UPDATE 09/24/26 AT 8:05 p.m.] The Savannah Police Department is investigating an altercation between juveniles that left one person injured Thursday.

Officers said one of the juveniles sustained minor, non-life-threatening injuries during the incident.

The investigation has led to a partial road closure on West 51st Street between Stevens and Bulloch streets. Drivers are asked to avoid the area, seek alternate routes and expect delays.
