Savannah Fire responds to garage fire on W. 36th Street

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A fire broke out Thursday evening in a detached garage near Montgomery Street.
The Savannah Fire Department responded to the 400 block of West 36th Street just before 9 p.m.
Firefighters arrived to find smoke and flames coming from a two-car detached garage. Crews got the fire under control within 10 minutes.
The fire did not reach any occupied homes nearby.
The cause of the fire has not been released. No additional information was immediately available.
