Savannah fire crews respond to fire on West Henry Lane

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Savannah firefighters responded to a fully involved residential structure fire Wednesday night.

According to the Savannah Fire Department, crews were dispatched at approximately 9:53 p.m. to the 500 block of West Henry Lane, near Montgomery Street and West Henry Street, after reports of a fire. When firefighters arrived on scene, they found the residence fully engulfed in flames.

Crews had water on the fire within minutes, at around 10:00 p.m., and were able to knock down all visible flames by 10:04 p.m.

The fire was officially declared out at 10:18 p.m. according to the department.

Officials said the structure was unoccupied at the time of the fire. No injuries or resident displacements were reported.

The cause of the fire has not yet been released.
