President Trump endorses Mike Collins in U.S. Senate runoff

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - President Donald Trump has officially endorsed Congreesman Mike Collins in the GOP runoff for U.S. Senate.
In a post on Truth Social early Sunday morning, President Trump said in part, “Mike Collins is a true Friend, Fighter, and WARRIOR, who has been with us from the very beginning, and has my Complete and Total Endorsement to be your next United States Senator.”
Congressman Collins is facing Derek Dooley in the GOP runoff and President Trump had some comments for Dooley in his post.
President Trump called Dooley a “nice person” but called him out for not voting in previous elections and said, “no one really knows who he is.”
The winner of the GOP runoff will face Sen. Jon Ossoff in November.
