Man drowns at Lake Lindsay Grace in Wayne County

WAYNE COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - A 62-year-old man died Thursday following a drowning at Lake Lindsay Grace in Wayne County.
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) game wardens and Wayne County Search and Rescue responded Thursday afternoon. The incident was reported at about 4:30 p.m., according to the Georgia DNR Law Enforcement Division.
Witnesses told wardens that a 62-year-old man and two 12-year-old boys swam from the west side of Lake Grace to the east side. As they swam back, the man began to struggle.
The two boys made it to shore and ran to get help. Witnesses said they saw the man go underwater, and he was not seen again.
After arriving on scene, game wardens began searching the lake using side-scan sonar. About two hours into the search, Wayne County Search and Rescue located the man in about 8 feet of water.
The body was turned over to the Wayne County coroner and later identified as Ronald Hrabar.
