Friday night’s Pirate Fest cancelled due to weather
TYBEE ISLAND, Ga. (WTOC) - Pirate Fest will not be happening tonight, October 10, 2025, according to the Tybee Island Police Department.
In a social media post, authorities say that, due to inclement weather, the Tybee Island Pirate Festival Area has made the decision to remain closed tonight.
“Any questions should be directed to event staff,” Tybee PD says in their post.
Earlier today, unusually high tides caused Highway 80 to shut down. No traffic was allowed on or off the island during this time.
