EMA: Lightning likely cause of Blackbeard Island fire

MCINTOSH COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - McIntosh County Volunteer Fire Department and McIntosh County EMA report a fire burning on Blackbeard Island.
McIntosh EMA states the fire is likely caused by lightning earlier Friday.
The fire has burned three acres so far, and it will likely burn out in a few days.
McIntosh County leaders say they want to make the public aware if anyone sees smoke in the area over the weekend.
