Chatham County Health Department to offer free mammograms on August 24

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Chatham County Health Department said they’re offering free mammograms next month for eligible women who are uninsured.
The St. Joseph’s/Candler mobile mammography unit will visit the health department clinic at 1395 Eisenhower Drive in Savannah on Monday, August 24, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Who is eligible?
- Women aged 40 and older who do not have health insurance coverage.
- Women under 40 who do not have health insurance and have identified breast problems, suspicion, or symptoms of breast cancer.
How to book an appointment
Space is limited, and all screenings are by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, call the Chatham County Health Department’s Breast and Cervical Cancer Program (BCCP) at 912-356-2946.
