CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - Communities in our area are helping residents prepare ahead of potential weather impacts early next week.

Chatham County sandbag locations
- Sand and sandbags will be available from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
- This will be available across from the Aquatic Center on Sallie Mood Drive.
- Residents must bring their own shovel and sand and sandbags are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- The City of Garden City is providing sand and sandbags to residents and businesses ahead of potential weather impacts.
- Sand and sand bags will be available from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Fire Station #1.
- City of Pooler will have sand and sand bags Sunday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at 900 S Rogers Street, which is across from the Fire station headquarters.
- City of Savannah opens sandbagging at Enmarket Arena this weekend.
- Sand and sandbags will be available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Enmarket Arena Parking lot and Fire Station #7 at 6902 Sallie Mood Drive.
- The City of Savannah said there will be a limit of five bags per household.

Bryan County sandbag locations
- Sand is available Saturday at both Bryan County locations —
- Henderson Park (Tennis Courts) in Richmond Hill and across the street from City Hall in Pembroke.
- Bryan County EMA says to bring your own shovel, fill your own bags, and consider bringing a helper to make the process easier.
Effingham County sandbag locations
- In Effingham County, emergency management is also providing sandbags.
- They will be available Sunday starting at 9 a.m. at the CEM complex on Highway 21.
- The address is 1750 Highway 21 South in Springfield.
- Attendees must bring their own shovel.
