West Savannah community honors Carver Village’s rich history

by WTOC Staff

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A community in West Savannah came together Saturday for a big neighborhood reunion.

The event is a tribute to Carver Village’s rich history.

It’s to bring together past and present residents to reconnect, celebrate the community’s legacy, and foster stronger neighborhood ties.

“I have no words. I’m just so glad that everybody was able to come out and join us, take some time out of their busy Saturday,” said Dr. Monica Wilson, Executive Director of Reunion Planning Committee. “This is a very historical community and we need to come out and show our support and show the leaders out here how much we appreciate what they are doing and how well they are doing to preserve the image of this community.”

The event was held at Kennedy Park.
