WTOC’s Dawn Baker chosen for Georgia Association of Broadcasters 2026 Hall of Fame Class
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Our very own Dawn Baker has been chosen to be part of the Georgia Association of Broadcasters 2026 Hall of Fame Class!
The 2026 Hall of Fame Class honors exceptional broadcasters whose work has influenced audiences across the state and elevated the standards of Georgia media.

Dawn joined WTOC as a reporter in 1989 and has been elevating our own standards ever since.
“Dawn Baker is an institution in Savannah broadcasting,” said WTOC Vice President and General Manager Marsha Fogarty.
“Her involvement in our community and dedication to our viewers is second to none. No one is more deserving than her. WTOC is incredibly proud of Dawn Baker receiving this honor.”
“Dawn is a strong leader in our newsroom and has guided hundreds of young journalists in her time at WTOC,” said WTOC News Director Michael Oder.
“She sets the bar high and pushes us to be the best, not just for WTOC, but for our audience which includes her hometown of Riceboro.”
She is joined by fellow Hall of Fame inductees Ed Hula Jr., Desiree ‘Dee’ Armstrong, and Karla Heath-Sands.
“The 2026 Hall of Fame class reflects the true spirit of Georgia broadcasting,” said Randy Gravley, President of the Georgia Association of Broadcasters. “Ed, Dawn, Dee and Karla have dedicated their careers to serving their communities with integrity, passion and professionalism. Their contributions have strengthened local journalism, inspired future broadcasters and enriched our state. We are proud to celebrate their legacy and welcome them into the GAB Hall of Fame.”
