UPDATE: Young boy killed in Friday night shooting on La Roche Ave.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - [Update as of 8/23/25 at 10:23 p.m.]: The Chatham County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased as 16-year-old Alexis Milton Jr.

The coroner’s office said they are investigating this death and say an autopsy has been scheduled.

Milton was shot at least one time and was pronounced dead at the scene.

[UPDATE]: A young boy is dead after a shooting Friday night in the 4000 block of La Roche Ave.

According to SPD, officers responded to the scene around 10:10 p.m. Once they arrived, they found the victim lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was given initial medical treatment but ultimately died of his injuries at the scene.
