Two women reported missing and endangered within hours of each other in Beaufort

BEAUFORT COUNTY, SC (WTOC) - [UPDATE 4:19 p.m. 7/18/2025] As of 4 p.m., today, July 18, 2025, both Sarah Sullivan and Melinda Scott have been located safe and unharmed.

[ORIGINAL STORY] The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating two women who have been reported missing today, July 18, 2025.

According to a statement from the Sheriff’s Office, Sarah Nicole Sullivan (35) was reported missing by family members at approximately 9:30 a.m. on July 18.

She was last seen and spoken to around 3:00 a.m. on the morning of July 18, and police say it is currently unknown whether Sullivan left the area on foot or was picked up by someone.

Additionally, Melinda Michelle Scott (47) was reported missing at around 11:00 a.m. on July 18.

According to her family, Scott has not been seen or heard from since the evening of her birthday, June 29, at about 9:00 p.m.

Police say that due to the extended time since her last known contact, her family is increasingly worried about her well-being.
