The Commons at Wilmington Island to host fundraiser for families displaced by tragic fire

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Commons at Wilmington Island is asking the community to join them Dec 14. for a gathering to support displaced families and honor lives lost after a deadly fire last weekend.

We have spoken to neighbors this past week who are stepping up to help families get back on their feet by dropping off donations for those in need. Now, the complex is holding an event to continue aid.

To continue helping those impacted, you can go to Molly McGuire’s from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 14 to join the “Common Folks Care” fundraiser.

Open to all, the fundraiser will feature a silent auction, complimentary appetizers and a live band.
