Telfair Museums hold Free Family Day Saturday

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Telfair Museums in Savannah gave everyone a chance to see all that the museum had to offer.

The museum hosted a Free Family Day Saturday. Museum officials say with it being back to school season, this was the perfect opportunity for children to feel inspired and ignite their creativity.

This free event focused on the art of clay and ceramics.

Families were able to participate in free hands-on clay making demonstrations, and more.

“It’s important to really bring the community in to connect them with the art we have on view. Hopefully teach them a little something about the art that they’re seeing and hopefully they’ll have a good time while they’re at it,” said Harry Delorme, Director of Education.

The museum offers these free family days six times a year.
