South Carolina braces for impact of potential storms
HAMPTON COUNTY, S.C. (WTOC) - WTOC has been in Beaufort County all of Friday speaking with public officials seeing what they think about this tropical storm that is brewing in the Atlantic.
Hannah Nicols, the Beaufort County public information officer, said the county has already began to prepare.
“We are strategically staging equipment throughout the county and we’re making sure that we would be all staffed up,” said Nichols. “Should this happen because we will be responding to downed trees down power lines, etc., throughout the event.”
Beaufort Officials say not to wait to prepare an evacuation plan because this storm could turn at any point.
But no evacuations have been ordered so far.
