SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Starting on September 3, 2025, and lasting until September 12, 2025, residents and visitors alike have the opportunity to participate in a city-wide scavenger hunt in Savannah.

The “9 Days of 912″ scavenger hunt in Savannah acts as a runway to “912 Day,” a citywide celebration that acts as “a vibrant expression of our community’s spirit on September 12th,” according to Savannah’s official website.

By playing the scavenger hunt, residents “will have the chance to win participation prizes and a grand prize raffle by following clues, sharing their discoveries on social media, and interacting with [the 912 Day] campaign.”

How to play the 912 Day Scavenger Hunt in Savannah

The 912 Day Scavenger hunt is open to all residents and visitors of Savannah. However, participants must have a public Instagram or Facebook account to be eligible.

Here is how you can play Savannah’s 912 Day Scavenger Hunt, per the city:

• From September 3rd to September 12th, daily clues will be posted on the City of Savannah’s social media accounts on Instagram and Facebook.
• Participants must find the location or landmark described in each clue.
• Take a photo at the identified location or landmark.
• Post the photo on Instagram or Facebook, tagging the @CityofSavannah.
• Use the hashtags #912Day, #Savannah912Day, #SavannahStrong, and #SAV912Day in the post.

Participants who successfully find and post a photo for each of the 9 days will be entered into a grand prize raffle.

Savannah scavenger hunt rules

You MUST follow and tag the official @CityofSavannah account, and use the designated hashtags for each daily clue, to qualify for the grand prize.

Additional rules for the 912 Day Scavenger Hunt include:

• Photos must be an original selfie taken at the specified location.
• Participants must be following @CityofSavannah on Instagram or Facebook.
• All posts must adhere to the community guidelines of Instagram and Facebook.
• Inappropriate or offensive content will be disqualified

Players are reminded that, by participating, entrants consent to their photos being shared on the City of Savannah’s social media platforms.

The City of Savannah also reserves the right to disqualify any entries that do not comply with their rules.

Winning the 912 Day Scavenger Hunt

The City of Savannah will reveal the correct answer for each clue 24 hours after the clue has been posted.

Participants with correct submissions will be notified via direct message on the social media platform used.

The winner of the grand prize raffle will be announced at the “culmination event of 912 Day.” This date is currently marked as “TBA” on the official Savannah website.
