Road flooding in Savannah: August 8, 2025
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - As rain systems move through our area, WTOC has already received a few reports of flooded and/or dangerous roadways in Savannah this afternoon, August 8, 2025.
With the newest information in bold, some roads and intersections which may be experiencing flooding include:
- Montgomery Street and West 52nd Street
- Bull Street and Thackery Place
- Abercorn Street and Columbus Drive
- Victory Drive and Bull Street
- Abercorn Street and 63rd Street
- Northbound Abercorn and DeRenne (currently shut down)
- 58th and Reynolds
- 35th & Drayton
It is important to note that water levels change rapidly and this list is not comprehensive. Roads that are safe one moment may be unsafe the next.
Please exercise care and use caution when driving during and after periods of heavy rainfall. Do not drive through flooded roads even if you think it will be fine.
