Ridgeland man arrested on sexual misconduct charges involving minor

JASPER COUNTY, S.C. (WTOC) - A Ridgeland man has been arrested on multiple charges involving sexual misconduct with a minor, according to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office.

Antonio Demetrious Scott, 46, was taken into custody on Tuesday, Nov. 25 and booked on the following charges:

Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor, First Degree
Two counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor, Third Degree
Assault with Intent to Commit Criminal Sexual Conduct, First Degree

“Crimes of this nature are deeply troubling, and we are committed to pursuing justice for the victim,” Sheriff Chris Malphrus said. “Our investigators worked diligently to ensure this case was handled with the utmost care and professionalism.”

The arrest followed a JCSO investigation. The case remains under investigation.
