Port Wentworth road to close for multiple days for maintenance
PORT WENTWORTH, Ga. (WTOC) - The City of Port Wentworth is advising residents, businesses, and motorists about an upcoming temporary road closure on Meinhard Road due to scheduled railroad maintenance.
Beginning at 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2025, Meinhard Road will be closed to all traffic at the railroad crossing.
The closure is expected to last approximately 48–72 hours.
Detour routes will be clearly marked, and drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and exercise caution in the area.
