One woman injured after McKenzie Place shooting, SPD investigating
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - [UPDATE 1:16 p.m. 8/8/2025] The Savannah Police Department issued a press release today, August 8, about the August 7 shooting in the 400 block of McKenzie Place.
One adult female received a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was taken to Memorial for further treatment.

SPD Investigates a Shooting in the 400 block of McKenzie Pl.
Savannah – The Savannah Police Department is investigating an Aug. 7 shooting in the 400 block of McKenzie Pl. that left an adult female with a non-life-threatening injury.
Officers responded to the scene at around 6:45 p.m. based on a ShotSpotter report. Upon arrival officers discovered the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was treated and transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information should call CrimeStoppers, 912-234-2020, or submit an anonymous tip through the SPD mobile app.
