Memorial Children’s Hospital hosts reverse trick-or-treat for patients
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Memorial Health’s Children’s Hospital staff dressed up in themed costumes and brought candy and treats to each hospital floor— bringing the trick or treat to the kids.
Friday Memorial Health hosted their reverse trick or treat where staff members bring candy to the kiddos who are stuck in the hospital, but not to worry, they will still be getting their candy and treats, and the whole hospital is decked out for this year’s Halloween, especially the outside.
One mom told WTOC her son is in remission but they have to stay in the hospital for 29 days ultimately missing her sons favorite holiday.
“We knew that Halloween is his favorite holiday, but they let us bring, all of our holiday stuff, our room is decked out, our door is decked out, and he’s just been so excited, so its made this hospital stay fun, and its, ya’ know he’s in the hospital, look at him, he’s having a great time,” said Sara Flora, mom of patient.
Memorial Health staff its important to create these memories for the children even while they’re in the hospital.
