Man with extensive criminal history indicted after CAT bus attack

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A Savannah man was indicted Thursday after a routine ride on a Chatham Area Transit (CAT) bus turned violent just last month.

Officers allege that Brandon Collier, 40, attacked a CAT bus driver and an elderly female passenger.

The police report shows that a barrier in the front of the bus that separates the driver from the passengers was on the ground and completely destroyed.

The report also details that the woman passenger was blind and that she had multiple injuries on her face, neck and forehead.

According to the indictment, Collier is facing charges of two counts of aggravated assault each, exploitation and intimidation of disabled adult, elder person or resident, criminal damage to property to the second degree, and two counts of obstruction of an officer.

Records show this is Collier’s 43rd arrest in Chatham County.
