Injury Prevention Coordinator for Safe Kids Savannah discusses hot car, seatbelt safety
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - With it being so hot, it’s a good time to remind everyone about the dangers of leaving children in vehicles.
Jadan Santoyo, the Injury Prevention Coordinator for Safe Kids Savannah, joined WTOC’s Dawn Baker for Welcome to our Community.
Santoyo stresses that the temperature in a car can rise 20 degrees in 20 minutes.
He also reminds parents to create reminders in their backseats to help them remember their children are in the car with them.
Safe Kids Savannah also offers free car seat checks to make sure parents have the seats properly installed.
