Hardeeville man arrested, charged with three counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor
JASPER COUNTY, SC (WTOC) - The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office has arrested one man on three counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor, First Degree, according to a press release WTOC just received.
On November 25, 2025, the JCSO arrested Jon Robert Benevento (49) of Hardeeville.
“Due to the sensitive nature of this case and in order to protect the privacy of the victim(s), limited information is available for release at this time,” the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office says. “The investigation remains ongoing.”
The JCSO also says it is committed to “thoroughly investigating all allegations of crimes against children and ensuring that those responsible are held accountable.”
