GA lottery player wins $200,000 in Savannah as Powerball jackpot soars to 6th largest ever

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A Georgia Lottery Powerball player won $200,000 in Savannah by purchasing their ticket online and selecting the $1 Power Play option, which boosted their prize from $50,000 to $200,000, on August 27, 2025.

A Milton resident also purchased a ticket online and boosted their lottery winnings to $200,000, while a ticket purchased at the Publix at 2900 Delk Road in Marietta won $50,000.

The winning numbers were 09-12-22-41-61, with a Powerball of 25 and a 4X Power Play multiplier. The next drawing is set for Saturday, Aug. 30, with an estimated jackpot of $950 million.

In addition, an Atlanta resident hit the jackpot playing the Cats Jackpot Diggi Game on the Georgia Lottery mobile app, winning $2,151,943, on August 27.

  • A Waleska player won $20,000 playing Jumbo Bucks Triple Play on August 27, 2025.
  • A Valdosta resident won $15,000 playing Mighty Mustang on August 27, 2025.
  • A player in Acworth won $10,000 playing Fishing for Gold on August 26, 2025.

As with all Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Powerball and Diggi Games benefit education in the state of Georgia.
