The forecast calls for this system to become a hurricane Tuesday and then take a hard right turn. This is a big change from yesterday but most computer models agree on this solution.

Based on this forecast track our impacts will be minimal. 1-2″ of rain is possible mainly Tuesday. Widespread flooding is not expected but any heavy rain may cause some brief street flooding. Sustained tropical storm winds are not expected. Winds may gusts to 35mph along the coast and 30mph inland. High seas, surf, rip currents and beach erosion are likely.
Hurricane Humberto is moving slowly but rapidly intensifying. Humberto is forecast to become a cat 5 hurricane but remain well east of us.
Hurricane Humberto is still a cat 4 with winds of 150mph as of the Sunday 11am advisory. Some weakening is expected as Humberto passes west of Bermuda Tuesday. Humberto is not threat to the US. pic.twitter.com/hJlwfC6xpC

BOTTOM LINE: A landfall along the South Carolina-Georgia coast is looking less likely BUT do not let your guard down just yet. Any shift to the north or west could bring tropical impacts to our area. Make sure to continue to get updates.
