Dave Turley’s First Alert Weather forecast for Tuesday, October 7, 2025

A coastal trough continues through Wednesday. This will keep a slight chance for showers moving in from the Atlantic. More clouds today with highs in the mid 80s. We have First Alert WX Days Wednesday through Friday due to the elevated tides. Coastal flooding begins around 9.5′. We’ll see tides up to 10.3′ Thursday. A cold front moves in by Thursday morning with a slight increase in rain chances. The front slowly moves south into Friday. It will bring in much cooler and drier air for the weekend. Highs in the mid to upper 70s with inland lows in the 50s. Low pressure is forecast to develop along the stalled front off the southeast coast. Right now computer models keep it far enough away to have little impacts but we’ll be watching.

Coastal Waters Forecast: Today: E winds at 10-15 kt. Seas: 4-6 ft subsiding 3-5 ft. Tonight: E winds at 5-10 kt. Seas: 4-5 ft.

Tropical Weather Outlook: Tropical Storm Jerry located about 1000 miles east of the Windward Islands. Jerry approaches the Leeward Islands later this week as a hurricane. Computer models suggest this system will take a turn to the north and is no threat to the US. A trough of low pressure located over the Yucatán Peninsula is producing disorganized showers and storms. There is a 10% for tropical development before the system moves inland by early Thursday over southern Mexico.
