Chatham Parkway bridge reopens after 28-day closure
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The Georgia Department of Transportation confirms that the Chatham Parkway bridge has reopened a day early.
That’s after the 20-day closure was extended to a 29-day closure.
The bridge will now have four travel lanes, with two in each direction. Check out the new look below:

This construction comes after the bridge was struck by an excavator over a year ago, requiring damaged-beam replacement, deck pouring, and barrier wall restoration.
