Celebrity basketball game in Liberty County
LIBERTY COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - Liberty County High School held a “celebrity” basketball game Saturday.
Student versus local county officials.
This is the second year the event has taken place, and all the funds raised go toward the Liberty County Boys and Girls Club.
“The coroner, he’s on his way. The sheriff, he’s on his way. Our state rep, he’s coming and going to be our honorary coach so it’s gonna be a full show in house. A lot of times as elected officials they only see us in our official capacity but we want the young people to know that we care, that we’re available for them, and if they need anything they know how to reach out to us,” said councilmen for City of Walthourville, Mitchell Boston.
