[UPDATE 2:49 p.m. 11/26/2025] A precautionary boil water advisory has been issued for people located on Daveitta Drive, Country Walk Circle, and Country Walk Drive, off Coffee Bluff Road in Savannah.
This precautionary boil water advisory is effective immediately following damage to a City water main caused by a private contractor, the City of Savannah says in a statement.
“City crews have been on site throughout the day and are nearing completion of the water main repair. Once repairs are finalized, crews will conduct approximately five hours of system flushing in the affected area. Water service for impacted homes is expected to be restored by the end of today. ”
As part of standard protocol, the City’s Water Resources team is implementing a short water system testing and reporting plan for the shaded area below.

The microbiological testing program will begin promptly upon completion of flushing to minimize the necessary Boil Water Advisory window.
The City of Savannah says:
As a precaution, customers located inside the affected area are advised to boil all water used for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, and preparing baby formula until the advisory is lifted. Water should be brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute before use.
Customers located inside the affected area should continue to boil their water until they are notified by public health officials or the City of Savannah that the system has been fully restored and the water is safe to drink, at which time they are advised to flush
Customers near the affected area (South of Felt Drive in Coffee Bluff/Rose Dhu) may experience discoloration in their water and are encouraged to flush each of their faucets for at least 5-10 minutes or until water runs clear.
How to Properly Boil Water
- Fill a pot with water
- Heat the water until bubbles rise from the bottom of the pot to the top
- Once the water reaches a rolling boil, let it boil for at least 1 minute.
- Turn off the heat and allow the water to cool.
- Store cooled water in a clean, covered container.
