Bluffton Township Fire District earns distinguished accreditation for the second time
BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) - The Bluffton Township Fire District has once again earned accreditation as an Internationally Accredited Agency through the Commission on Fire Accreditation International, according to a recent press release.
The Bluffton Township Fire District first achieved accredited status on October 27, 2020. Accreditation lasts five years.
Bluffton Township is one of just over 300 fire agencies worldwide recognized as Internationally Accredited Agencies.
In South Carolina, fewer than 10 municipal or county fire agencies share the same distinction, according to the press release.
“This reaccreditation represents the dedication our team brings to the job every day,” said interim Fire Chief Derek Church. “It reflects our continued effort to improve, to grow and to deliver the best possible service to the community we’re honored to protect.”
