Blues, Brews, BBQ & Bourbon event raises funds for coastal conservation

by WTOC Staff

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - The annual Blues, Brews, BBQ & Bourbon event returned to the Park at Eastern Wharf on Saturday, combining entertainment with environmental advocacy as the Coastal Conservation Association of Georgia hosted its third annual fundraising event.

The event featured live performances by local bands, barbecue and unlimited tastings of more than 50 craft beers and whiskeys. Proceeds benefited the Coastal Conservation Association of Georgia, a nonprofit organization committed to conserving and enhancing coastal marine resources.

“This is our third year out here on Eastern Wharf and we absolutely love it,” said Robert Hale, chairman of CCA Georgia. “It is a gorgeous location and some of the best Texas BBQ, bourbon, blues and brews you could ever ask for. This is all to raise funds for CCA Georgia that helps promote conservation and protection of Georgia resources.”

The event marked a significant day for the CCA Savannah chapter, which advocates for healthy fisheries along the Georgia coast.
